WHY GADGETS GALORE AT UCSI UNIVERSITY ?
In the beginning I want to explain Our main concept is to expose and educate people (in this case is the students of UCSI) about the latest gadgets in today’s market. Here, we will talk about the function and specification of the chosen gadgets. We are also going to review for you one of the most top situation IT in world right now and explain it simply.
Gadgets are out main concept so we chose 10 top gadgets that most of people know. Our 10 gadgets are : Stereo, TV , Laptop, Camera , GPS , Cell phones, PDA, Gaming Devices ,MP3 Player, Headsets. So here you are !
Construction of the Group page
The group page is constructed into three parts; the first one being the welcome screen saying “GADGETS GALORE”, the second page appears on the same page as you click on the “GADGETS GALORE” icon. In the second page there is the button on top which serves as a link to yet another three different sections the middle part (which is a all familiar logo: UCSI logo) which will redirect us to UCSI University main web portal. On the lower left part of the UCSI logo is the “HOME” Button which brings us to the home page, and on the lower right part is the button which will redirect us to the “GADGETS” page which is our second page. In the second page you can see two familiar attribute from the first page, which is the buttons on the left named after the gadgets featured on the website and the heading. The content section contains the picture of all group members and the picture of the gadgets reviewed by them. You will be redirected to each of the member’s individual website which will elaborate more on the products chosen by the members/reviewers.

Construction of the individual page : Stereo
I chose the last option for the gadgets, STEREO. I decided to make my website as in three different page with the same design because one page for my Home page another for my Product which I want to introduce plus the Topic I want to review with my readers. Deciding how to manage your data on a website is one of most important thing because it can attract viewer to see. I started to check different websites on web, which is about Stereo. I found quiet a lot idea about how it would be attractive, so I started to do my page with two main column, one for Main details on each tab and one for link which is related to my gadget. I used a table to organize my tabs and few simple CSS code to manage my colors and Fonts. As well u can see in screen shoots in bottom I used Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 to design my webpage Plus Photoshop to edit my photos.


You always need to introduce your self on the page with realated link to some social websites or blog which you are using. So I put a Facebook logo that I Downloaded from web and Flickr Logo to connect my Page to my Profiles. And u can see my Blogspot icon down there too. When I’m done with whole of my designing and developing, I just started to research about the gadget that I’m inroducing. So that’s the time to use my past knowledge to connect to websites such as www.cnet.com or www.sound&vision.com and etc. the most easiest part is collecting the data from web especially for an IT student like me that I suppose to know how to find my data.During this desgning I found how we can use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to design website. So me and jinfai start to design a Photoshop which is suits our Home page and jinfai did his best because of his past experience from old tasks. So I used the tool “Slice” to cut the parts which we need to use for our website as hyper link such as Home or Gadgets Botton. We just saved the photoshop file as Web&Device in Html format plus Images Folder.
So here we go, using dreamweaver to link and develop all of our data on a HTML file which is designed by photoshop and Illustrator.
Uploading all the data which all the groupmates sent to me on www.bravehost.com with a managed folder that can using a same link in order to continue with “/” to reach each member indivisual page.
After uploading I found my Youtube Video can’t stream in my page because some unknown reason. So I start to use different tables on my page to make it on my home page.


Experience and lessons learned
The most important experience which I got was how to use Dreamweaver in order to design a webpage and how to manage our data on web with a site. But another interesting ability which I got that can be so useful for me, using AdobePhotshop CS3 and AdobeIllustrator CS3 for web designing. This way is one of the most easiest and attractive way to create a website , because you can use the ability of this both software to make a powerful website which is ready to use in photoshop compare to make all the images one by one and use it in Dreamweaver in Tables.
